“Partitions” brings together sheets that merge the different series that I photographed in the USA. Arranged in this way, they aim to intertwine the different themes in order to propose a transversal vision of my American experiences. This presentation also aims to broaden the focus on the USA to include Hawaii and Alaska, under-represented in the overall frieze of the American photographic tradition. Imagined as a series of harmonies and variations united by the same territory, these partitions are also a way of assuming my digressive and fragmented approach to photography. The disruptive associations between the images becomes in fact a thread that connects the form and the variety of documentary images. – RG
